Atelier 1618 offers surgical procedures for men and women who value their physical harmony. Agence Spatiale has designed this new medical aesthetic clinic for Dr. Gabriel Beauchemin’s team and his patients, located on Grande-Allée in Quebec City. The practice features a soft, welcoming and elegant environment where wood, curved lines and eclectic design touches accompany patients— a far cry from the sterile, cold atmosphere typically associated with clinical spaces.
Atelier 1618’s design stands out for its carefully curated materials, playful symmetries and refined textures. The reception area features glass room dividers arranged in a staggered pattern, affording patients privacy while they wait and allowing light to filter through to the entrance.
The reception desk, an abstract composition of curves and facial contours, was designed and fabricated using robotic-arm 3D printed concrete. Behind the wooden reception partition lies the bulk of the clinic: all the procedure rooms, offices and other ancillary spaces. The post-procedure waiting room, meanwhile, boasts an ultra-muted ambiance—a cozy cocoon enveloped entirely in deep burgundy.
