KEUS is a leading name in the home automation industry, known for its process-driven approach and dedication to seamlessly integrating smart solutions into modern living. This newly designed commercial space is a testament to KEUS’ commitment to innovation and versatility, featuring both indoor and outdoor environments that showcase the brand’s sophisticated range of home automation products.

Design Concept and Client Vision
The client sought an experiential outdoor space that would serve as a dynamic platform for demonstrating their home automation and lighting solutions. The brief emphasized the importance of creating a contemporary outdoor setting complete with lush greenery, feature walls, and water elements, all designed to highlight the transformative impact of lighting on exterior spaces.

Design Highlights
·Corten Steel and Fluid Forms: The landscape design is anchored by fluid corten steel walls that encircle the outdoor space, creating visual drama while providing privacy from the bustling ring road. This material, carefully crafted on-site under our supervision, adds a modern, industrial touch that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.
·Dynamic Lighting: To reflect KEUS’ identity as a home automation pioneer, the outdoor area incorporates dynamic lighting elements. These features transform the backyard into a vibrant party space, ideal for client demos and evening gatherings, blending functionality with aesthetics to create memorable experiences.
·Courtyard and Zen Elements: The site’s design respects and preserves its original architecture, including three pre-existing courtyards centered around mature trees. The main courtyard, designed as a dry garden, utilizes polished black granite and star galaxy stone to represent water, reflecting the tree canopies and contributing an enchanting visual story.
·Sound and Privacy Solutions: The proximity to a busy road required innovative solutions for noise reduction. Dense greenery and strategically placed water bodies work in harmony with corten steel screens to buffer sound and establish a tranquil atmosphere, enhanced by the soothing sound of water.

Material and Aesthetic Choices
The commercial project features an elegant mix of materials such as corten steel, black granite, and wood, each chosen to create dramatic shadow play and accentuate the natural beauty of the space. The use of structured plants, including cacti and palms, adds an element of unexpected intrigue, balancing the hardscape with striking softscape elements. The result is an immersive environment that demonstrates the potential of home automation in outdoor settings.

Challenges and Unique Features
One of the most rewarding challenges was designing a vastu-compliant landscape that maintained contemporary aesthetics. Additionally, creating bespoke corten steel screens on-site required meticulous attention to detail and expert craftsmanship. Pots and sculptures sourced from Stonelife further enriched the space’s visual narrative.
The KEUS Commercial Project is more than a functional space; it is a reflection of how smart technology, artful design, and nature can coexist harmoniously to create spaces that are both functional and inspiring.

Project Planning
The planning of the KEUS commercial project was a collaborative effort involving key stakeholders, including the C-suite team, design consultants, and automation specialists. The leadership team played a crucial role in shaping the vision for the space, emphasizing the need for an immersive environment where technology seamlessly integrates with architecture and landscape. Their primary focus was to create an experiential outdoor setting that not only reflects KEUS’ brand identity but also enhances client interactions through dynamic demonstrations.

Employee feedback was instrumental in refining the functionality of the space. Through internal discussions and hands-on engagement activities, the team identified key operational requirements, such as optimizing pathways for client movement, ensuring seamless automation control, and enhancing lighting demonstrations for varied scenarios. These insights influenced crucial design decisions, from material selections to spatial configurations, ensuring a user-friendly and impactful environment.
Additionally, the project required extensive research to meet unique design requirements. One of the key challenges was integrating home automation technology into an outdoor landscape without compromising aesthetics. This led to meticulous planning around lighting placements, sensor integration, and weather-resistant automation solutions. Another critical aspect was achieving a balance between contemporary design and vastu compliance, which required careful orientation of elements like water bodies and feature walls. The corten steel installations, crafted on-site, also demanded specialized expertise to achieve the desired fluidity and precision, ensuring they harmonized with the surrounding landscape. Through this process-driven approach, the project successfully transformed a commercial space into an interactive, multi-sensory environment that embodies KEUS’ commitment to innovation.

Project Details
The KEUS commercial project seamlessly integrates health and wellness principles through its tranquil outdoor setting, featuring dense greenery, water elements, and noise-buffering corten steel screens that create a serene escape from the bustling city. Thoughtfully designed courtyards preserve mature trees, enhancing air quality and promoting biophilic engagement.
Branding is subtly woven into the space through dynamic lighting, which showcases KEUS’ cutting-edge automation technology. The interplay of corten steel, black granite, and structured greenery reinforces the brand’s commitment to innovation and sophistication. Bespoke corten steel screens, designed on-site, serve as striking visual elements while ensuring privacy.

The most unique features include the fluid corten steel walls that frame the space, the dry garden with polished black granite mimicking water reflections, and the adaptive lighting that transforms the area into an interactive demonstration hub. These elements collectively create a space that is both functional and experiential, highlighting the transformative power of home automation in outdoor environments.
